Well, I’m happy to report things are moving along.
Presently I’m working at getting certified as a hearing loss support specialist. When that is done, I will be able to provide more information to my DHH readers.
I am also compiling a list of DHH camps right now. Some of them are well-known and respected. I can remember going to DHH camps myself when I was little, and I had such fun! I hope you’ll send your DHH children to such a place. It will be such a positive experience for your child.
When I am done compiling the list, I will post it here and also in my blogroll.
For today’s blog, I want to remind you that your DHH child will have a good life, especially with technology getting better and better all the time.
Or if you are DHH yourself, that you are living in a great time. I know the economy is terrible, and that jobs are hard to get, but you must remain positive-minded.
There are plenty of DHH activities to participate in. There are good DHH friends out there who want to be in touch with you.
Get out there and do something good in 2009. Maybe you can volunteer to help with a DHH camp, DHH church, or help out in a DHH classroom.
