I recently saw an ad from the House Ear Institute. It’s a very prestigious clinic that treats hearing loss in Los Angeles. 
It said that 16% of the world’s population suffer from some kind of hearing problem. That’s a lot of people.
I know that number will go higher, since we are living longer.

Yesterday my husband and I were fortunate enough to attend a 90th birthday party for long-time hearing loss activist Grace Tiessen.
There must have been about 100 people there. The weather was lovely, and there was a wonderful vegetarian buffet. Lots of good friends were present, along with members of her family.
